BOLD red STORY

How it all began!

First there was an idea. The idea of finally throwing labeling overboard and our lives would be enriched a lot without categorisations. When every person can be whatever they want.

Then came the realisation that labels can also cause stigmatisation and restrictions, shame and disadvantage!

So the next step came! Which topics were burning under our fingernails? SUSTAINABILITY! Clear case. Surrounded by Friday for Future demonstrations, the rising generation that questions so many provocative systems & expects change and advocates for it!

And as a mother of two growing children who (currently) don't want to be categorised as female but just want to be themselves, it was clear that the topic of MENSTRUATION, puberty, SHAME, and social disadvantage was suddenly there!

BOLDred was born!

The goal of finally standing up for MENSTRUATION, to carry it BOLD to the outside world, to understand that MENSTRUATION (with all its ups and downs) is something wonderful that no one should be ashamed of!

BOLDred was born from the idea that empowerment is something we all deserve!

And where is the best place to start? This also very quickly became clear: with the children/teenagers who will soon be menstruating. Those who want to live sustainably, who ask us why we are bringing plastic home again! How can we then offer them plastic and disposable products!?

From menarche upwards, BOLDred shows that menstruation, but also sexual education and self-determination can also be combined with sustainability! Great literature makes it super easy for all of us to start with the little ones and the more normal we deal with these topics, the less SHAME and TABU can arise! I am convinced of that!

But: we all don't stop learning! And that's why BOLDred take a provocative approach, challenging and questioning established views, and bangs us on the head with acid coloured vulvas and uterus like colourful fireworks and shows us all that these topics can also be a lot of fun - for young and old! Everyone who menstruates has the RED. We can all learn and live BOLDNESS (research and strength)!

Can you all who have a vulva draw it too? Or even name it correctly? This took far too long for me too!

And that's exactly where BOLDred comes in!
